Linda Fairstein is an inspirational woman that I look up to very much. My heart beats for victim advocacy and public service. Even though I'm still in high school, I know that this is something I was meant to do. I'm touched deeply by the story lines of SVU and Linda's books and I'm moved to do something about it. I love Mariska and Linda! Very amazing women! Thanks for sharing :)

Great article. I can't wait for the book. I will read and enjoy it. I am glad that some people stay involved with things and don't just leave it behind when there job is done. There is still so much to be done with backlogs and with making people aware of the rape and abuse that goes on. Unfortunately it is all to often not reported.

People need to be made aware of it and encouraged to come forward themselves or to help spread the workd and get others involved in helping.

More power to you for continuing to be an advocate in regards to rape and abuse and back log rape kits.

Linda -- your article in The Daily Beast about why the rape kit backlog matters was just terrific and very much appreciated. Thank you.
